What this app is built from.

The Enneagram content

Every word describing a type, a wing, an instinct, a health band or a pair is original to Wholeward, written for this app. The Enneagram as a system, its nine types, three centres and connecting lines, is long-standing common material that no one owns. The particular descriptions people have published about it are theirs, so we wrote our own rather than borrow any. Our type titles, our three-band model of Flowing, Coping and Contracted, and all of the reading text are ours. Wholeward is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or derived from any Enneagram organisation, and uses no organisation's trademarks or proprietary instruments.

On-device intelligence

Written reflections and conversation are generated by Apple's Foundation Models framework, running on your own device. There is no cloud model and no third-party inference service.

Typefaces

Fraunces by Phaedra Charles and Flavia Zimbardi, and Mulish by Vernon Adams and Jacques Le Bailly, both under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Both are served from this site rather than from a font CDN, so visiting this page tells no one else that you did.

Everything else

The app ships no third-party SDKs, no analytics, no advertising library and no crash reporter. The nine-pointed figure, the icon and the interface are drawn in code.
